Bread of Life

Bread of Life is a volunteer organization serving the communities north of Boston who struggle with food insecurity. Services provided include evening meals held four nights a week in Malden, food pantries in Malden and Everett, grocery delivery to senior citizens and COVID-isolating households, and food delivery to at-risk teens and homeless families sheltered in local motels.


Department of Transitional Assistance

The Department of Transitional Assistance provides instructions and support on how to apply for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as food stamps.

 

Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels delivers food to seniors who can no longer drive the the grocery store or who need access to nutritious meals at a reduced cost. Food is also availble at congregate nutrition sites for seniors looking for socialization.

 

Project Bread

Project Bread connects people and communities in Massachusetts to reliable sources of food while advocating for policies that make food more accessible.



Somerville Food Security Coalition

Somerville Food Security Coalition compiles and raises awareness of community resources to bring Somerville residents healthy, accessible, affordable, and culturally comfortable food.
